Russia Launches New Major Offensive in Ukraine.

Trending Now

Russia launched a widespread missile attack against Ukraine in the early hours of January 13th, as confirmed by Ukraine's Air Force on Telegram.

This attack marks a notable intensification in the ongoing conflict between the two nations.

Nationwide Air Alerts and Defensive Actions

Almost every region in Ukraine was put on high alert due to the attack, with Russian fighter jets launching cruise missiles from the Caspian Sea towards Ukrainian cities.

The Ukrainian population, particularly in areas under active air alerts, was urgently advised to seek immediate shelter as a precautionary measure.

Use of Advanced Military Technology

Adding to the gravity of the situation, Ukraine's Air Force disclosed the deployment of MiG-31K interceptor fighter jets by Russia, which were reportedly launching Kinzhal hypersonic missiles from the Nizhny Novgorod Oblast of Russia.

This use of advanced military technology underscores the severity of the attack.

Reports from Suspilne, a Ukrainian news agency, indicated that explosions were heard around 5 a.m in the city of Dnipro in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, and around 7 a.m. in Kropyvnytskyi in Kirovohrad Oblast. As of the time of reporting, there was no specific information available on the extent of damage to civilian infrastructure or casualties resulting from this large-scale assault.

This aggressive action by Russia has raised alarms and concerns not only within Ukraine but also among the international community, as it represents a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict in the region. The situation remains fluid, with further developments expected as more information becomes available.
