In the latest escalation of conflict in Ukraine, Russian forces shelled a village in the Nikopol district of the Dnipropetrovsk region on the evening of Wednesday, May 15.
The attack, involving multiple artillery rounds, was reported by Serhii Lysak, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, through a post on Telegram.
According to Lysak's update, the artillery targeted a village within the Marganets community, with approximately half a dozen shells hitting the area.
No casualties or injuries were reported from this specific incident.
Lysak also noted that the night following the attack passed without any further enemy activities in the region.
This brief period of calm comes after a day marked by aggression, in which the Russian army launched four kamikaze drone strikes on the Nikopol region.
