The Sumy region in Ukraine experienced intensified hostilities as Russian forces targeted two communities with mortar and artillery fire, resulting in a series of explosions early on Monday, April 29.

The Sumy Regional Military Administration disclosed via Facebook that the Russian military executed six separate attacks during the night and early morning hours, leading to a total of 41 explosions.

Specifically, the communities of Krasnopillia and Esman were targeted.

The Krasnopillia community suffered attacks from mortars and artillery, while the Esman community experienced 12 explosions due to artillery shelling.

This recent aggression is part of a broader pattern of attacks across Ukraine.

On the same day, over 120 settlements in the regions of Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kherson, and Mykolaiv were also subjected to artillery fire.
