Russian forces shelled the Zaporizhzhia region in southeastern Ukraine 256 times in the past day, targeting eight settlements, as reported by Ukrinform.

Ivan Fedorov, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, shared details of the attacks on Telegram.

Impact of the Shelling

The assaults on the Zaporizhzhia region involved a range of military tactics.

Fedorov stated that Russian invaders launched five air strikes on Huliaipole, Robotyne, and Mala Tokmachka. Additionally, 81 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of various types targeted several settlements, including Bilenke, Huliaipole, Levadne, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka, Novoandriivka, and Mali Shcherbaky.

Nine multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) attacks also hit Levadne and Robotyne, while artillery strikes further contributed to the bombardment, with 161 reports across Huliaipole, Mala Tokmachka, Novoandriivka, Robotyne, Levadne, and Malynivka.

The intense air strikes caused significant damage, with at least 13 reports of destruction to homes and other structures.

Despite the heavy bombardment, there were no reports of civilian casualties.
