On February 20th, a devastating drone attack in Nova Sloboda, Sumy Oblast, targeted a residential building, with five people reported inside at the time of the strike.
The Council’s statement revealed, “Today, 20 February, starting from 04:00 (Kyiv time), Russian invaders began targeting the civilian population of the hromada at first with drones and then with artillery.”
This calculated assault led to significant destruction.
A drone, laden with explosives, directly hit a home, resulting in its complete destruction and a subsequent fire.
Rescue Efforts Ongoing
In the aftermath of the attack, emergency services have been tirelessly working to clear the debris.
As of now, the rubble is still being cleared, and the search operation is ongoing.
