The Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office has identified members of Russia's 76th Guards Air Assault Division as suspects in the recent murders of three Ukrainian soldiers, as reported by war crimes investigator Yuriy Belousov on December 28.

This division, based in Pskov, Russia, has previously been implicated in war crimes committed in Ukraine's Kyiv region.

The case gained significant attention following the emergence of drone footage on Telegram, which purportedly shows the execution of the Ukrainian soldiers. The footage led Ukrainian authorities to launch an investigation into potential violations of the laws and customs of war.

The 76th Guards Air Assault Division’s involvement in this incident adds to a growing list of alleged war crimes by Russian forces since the onset of the conflict in Ukraine.

The Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office's identification of these soldiers marks a critical step in addressing these alleged violations and seeking justice for the victims.
