Ukrainian energy company DTEK announces major damage to a thermal power plant.
Ukrainian energy holding company DTEK has reported major damage to equipment at one of its thermal power plants.
The location of the affected plant has not been disclosed.
The company announced on its Telegram channel that repair efforts are ongoing to address the damage.
Nighttime Air Raid
The incident coincided with a nighttime air raid alert in Kyiv and most regions of Ukraine.
Explosions were reported in multiple areas, including the Dnieper (formerly Dnepropetrovsk) and the Kyiv-controlled part of the Zaporozhye region.
Later it was revealed that energy facilities in the Vinnitsa, Dnepropetrovsk, and Kyiv regions, as well as the Kyiv-controlled part of the Donetsk People’s Republic, were damaged.
