Benjamin Netanyahu, often referred to as "Mr. Security" by his supporters, was considered the best guarantee for Israel's safety.

However, the largest attack on Israel's security in 50 years occurred under his watch, catching the intelligence services he oversees off guard. This is a significant failure in a country known for having the world's best intelligence agencies.

Nine months ago, Netanyahu returned to power, forming a coalition with a hodgepodge of far-right parties. During this period, he has been primarily embroiled in a battle with the country's judiciary, which he blames for charging him with corruption.

The respected newspaper Haaretz stated,

"Hamas, a 'small' terrorist organization, has exposed the vulnerability of Israel, a regional superpower. Although the failure is primarily due to the military intelligence and Shin Bet security service, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu cannot wash his hands of this enormous blunder."

"Fifteen years have passed since Netanyahu promised to overthrow Hamas. Over these years, he has managed to undermine Israeli society, military deterrence, and orderly governance – while Hamas has become a trained army."

Do you think this will be the end for Benjamin Netanyahu as Israel's leader?
