In a devastating incident last week, a 12-year-old student, Yahshua Robinson, lost his life after participating in a gym class conducted in extreme heat. Robinson was a middle school student from Lake Elsinore, California.

Robinson arrived at his gym class wearing inappropriate attire for physical activity. According to his aunt, Amarna Plummer, the gym teacher instructed him to run outside despite the soaring temperatures.

Robinson had expressed his discomfort, asking for water and mentioning that he was struggling to breathe.

After collapsing in class, Robinson was rushed to a nearby hospital. Despite medical intervention, he suffered cardiac arrest and passed away.

The Lake Elsinore United School District confirmed the tragic event, stating, "Our hearts are with the family, friends, and our school community."

While the Riverside County Sheriff's Office has not yet confirmed the cause of Robinson's death, his family believes that the extreme heat—reaching up to 107 degrees Fahrenheit that day—played a significant role.
