Trump keeps recieving other people’s prizes and medals.
During the second Trump presidency, there have been a lot of awards handed out to him by different people in high places.
Trump has received the FIFA Peace Prize, and he has lobbied heavily to get the Nobel Peace Prize.
Over the weekend, Trump got another prize that came with a medal. But this time, Trump accepted it on behalf of a deceased family member.
Trump accepts a medal on behalf of his uncle
During the Golden Age of American Innovation Summit at the Institute of Peace, Trump was awarded a National Medal of Science for his late uncle, the scientist John G. Trump.
Trump has talked a lot about his uncle, who was a prominent electrical engineer and a very gifted scientist.
According to Radar Online, White House science adviser Michael Kratsios told the president that they had found his uncle’s original medal from 1983 and restored it for him.
“Mr. President, we have been able to find the medal for your uncle, and we want to present it to you in a beautiful frame,” Kratsios said.
Not the first time Trump receives another person’s prize
This is not the first time this year alone that Trump has received another person’s prize and medal.
While Trump has continued to argue that he deserves the Nobel Peace Prize because he has “settled eight wars,” he has already received one from a past winner.
Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado, who is in exile, gifted Trump her Nobel Peace Prize during an Oval Office visit after the US had flown into Venezuela and arrested its president, Nicolás Maduro.
