Trump’s Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy slammed what he called the Democratic “big lie”
Publicly taunted Kamala

Senior Trump officials have publicly taunted Democrats over Kamala Harris’s 2024 election loss, rejecting claims that she was disadvantaged by Joe Biden’s delayed withdrawal.
A wave of recriminations has swept through Democratic circles, with strategists and insiders pointing fingers at Biden for staying in the race too long.
Miller: “Short Campaign Was Harris’s Biggest Advantage”

Trump’s Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy, Stephen Miller, slammed what he called the Democratic “big lie”, the idea that Harris could have beaten Trump with more time.

In a post on X, he argued the abbreviated campaign actually helped her avoid scrutiny and allowed the media to construct a “fictitious Kamala.”
“It’s what allowed the media to build a completely fictitious Kamala while sheltering her from all scrutiny,” Miller said.
David Plouffe: “We Got So Screwed by Biden”

David Plouffe, Obama’s former campaign guru and Harris’s senior adviser, didn’t hold back in an interview tied to the release of Original Sin. He blamed Biden directly for Harris’s failed bid:
“He totally fed us,” Plouffe said. “It was a fing nightmare… We only had 107 days.”
Plouffe claimed Harris’s chances were hobbled by Biden’s three-week delay in exiting after his disastrous debate performance.
Trump Team Laughs Off Democratic Ground Game Claims

James Blair, another top Trump deputy, joined the pile-on.
Posting from Qatar, where he’s traveling with Trump, Blair mocked claims made by Harris’s campaign staff that their “ground game” and undecided voter momentum would push her to victory.
“Remember their supposedly better ground game being worth 1-2 points?” he posted.
“Her campaign advisers were the ones saying all this!”
Trump Aides Rip Convention Coverage

Miller and Blair took specific aim at media coverage during the Democratic convention, calling it “delusional” and “fawning.”
They claimed the press created an artificial sense of momentum around Harris’s last-minute nomination.
“Had she been forced to run a long campaign against Trump she would have topped out at 100 electoral votes,” Miller predicted.
“He Stole It from the Party”: Democrats Turn on Biden

The new book Original Sin by Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson includes scathing commentary from former Biden aides.
Several described the decision to let Biden run again as a betrayal:
“It was an abomination,” one strategist said.
“He stole an election from the Democratic Party.”
Another insider alleged Biden’s own family and advisers knew he shouldn’t have run but allowed it anyway.
Biden Considered Using a Wheelchair if Reelected

Among the more jarring revelations in Original Sin was a behind-the-scenes discussion within Biden’s inner circle about whether he should use a wheelchair in a second term.
The suggestion added fuel to concerns about his fitness to serve and how long those around him tried to manage perceptions.
Clooney’s Concern: “He Didn’t Know Who I Was”

Actor George Clooney reportedly left a 2024 Democratic fundraiser “shaken to his core” after meeting Biden.
According to the book, several people at the event believed the president did not recognize Clooney, a surreal moment that underscored the growing unease about Biden’s cognitive state.
