He was also involved in the January 6 Capitol riot in 2021.
Donald Trump is no stranger to scandal.
Several controversies and investigations keeping his name in the headlines for years.
That history means any new case involving figures tied to his movement is likely to draw immediate attention.
Now, a major law enforcement crackdown in Florida is doing exactly that.
Major crackdown
Craig Long, a 44-year-old influencer known for his pro-Trump content, was arrested as part of a human trafficking and child exploitation operation in Polk County, Florida.
According to local authorities, the initiative, dubbed “Polk Around & Find Out,” resulted in 266 arrests.
The operation targeted individuals seeking to exploit minors as well as those involved in prostitution-related offenses.
High-profile suspect
Long, who runs a fitness business in Tampa and has a large online following, was identified as one of those detained.
“He’s an influencer. He also owns Craig Long Fitness in Tampa. He was seeking the services of a lady of the night,” Sheriff Grady Judd said during a press conference.
Officials noted that Long had previously posted content praising law enforcement.
Authorities said 19 suspects were arrested for traveling to meet minors, while 247 others faced charges linked to prostitution.
The investigation extended beyond Florida, with suspects from 18 countries and 11 U.S. states.
The ages of those arrested ranged from 18 to 68.
Law enforcement response
Sheriff Judd commented on Long’s attitude during the arrest.
“Now, we’d like to see people who make mistakes early in life and he had a long history straightened up.”
“We like the fact that he likes the cops. Heck, he liked them so much, he got caught up in a sting and got to be rubbing up and real close with the cops.”
Long has built a significant social media presence, describing himself as “MAGA to the core.”
He was also reportedly involved in the January 6 Capitol riot in 2021.
Another individual linked to the riot, Ryan Yates, was also arrested in the same operation.
