What is happening?
Last week, Donald Trump teased that he would make a major announcement regarding Russia and the war in Ukraine Monday (today), and now we know, what he had in mind.
Peace within 50 days, or else …
After a meeting with General Secretary of NATO, Mark Rutte, Trump spoke to the press and announced, that if a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine is not made within 50 days, Russia will get hit by a 100 % tariff.
Weapons heading to Ukraine
Additionally, Trump told the reporters that he and Rutte have made a deal about shipping weapons to Ukraine.
The deal is that other NATO members will pay the US for the weapons, and that NATO will coordinate the supplies.
More than Patriots
Rutte said to the press that the weapons shipment will be bigger than Patriot missiles, which Ukraine has repeatedly asked for in order to protect it’s population against the Russian aerial attacks.
Rutte did not specify what weapons are heading for Ukraine, but said that there will be other missiles than just Patriots.

Trump has repeatedly critizised the Russian President, Vladimir Putin, lately, and speaking to the reporters, he once again slammed Putin.
“I’ve heard talk, talk. And then Kiyv is hit by missiles that kills people. It has to stop,” Trump said.
More casualties than the media reports
According to Trump the death toll in Ukraine is actually higher than what is reported by the media.
He also repeated his claims that the war in Ukraine would never had started, if he was President in 2022.
Peace deal, “should have happened a long time ago”
Trump said that he feels he’s had a deal about peace in Ukraine “about four times”, but that the fighting just goes on.
Rutte speaking directly to Russians
Mark Rutte used the camera time to speak directly to the Russian population, telling them how many Russian soldies that have actually lost their lives during the war.
Countries buying Russian Oil can be targeted
A representative from The White House added that Donald Trump will also target countries buying Russian oil with tariffs.
Two of those are China and India.
