President Donald Trump briefly posted an AI-generated video on his Truth Social account that fueled a bizarre conspiracy theory before deleting it roughly 12 hours later.

The Video That Sparked Confusion

The clip had been formatted as a fake Fox News report.

It showed an AI-generated Trump claiming that “every American will soon receive their own medbed card.”

In the video, he stated that citizens would have access to new hospitals with top doctors and advanced technology, designed to restore every person to full health and strength.

What Are “Medbeds”?

CNN reporter Jake Tapper explained on Instagram that medbeds are a QAnon conspiracy theory, depicting magical beds capable of restoring limbs, reversing aging, and curing any ailment, but only accessible to the wealthy and elite.

Fox News confirmed to The Verge that the news report never aired on their channel or any affiliated platforms.

According to Unilad, independent fact-checkers also confirmed that the video was AI-generated.

Trump’s Social Media Habits

The incident is consistent with Trump’s frequent, sometimes outlandish, postings on Truth Social.

While the platform is often used to share updates on meetings with world leaders or policy positions, AI-generated or bizarre content occasionally appears.

Deletion and Fallout

The video was removed roughly 12 hours after posting, but not before sparking discussions across social media.

Trump’s Other Policy Moves

Separately, Trump confirmed a 100% tariff on all movies made outside the U.S. via a Truth Social post on September 29.

He criticized Hollywood and California, claiming the U.S. film industry had been “stolen” by foreign countries.

“California, with its weak and incompetent Governor, has been particularly hard hit! Therefore, in order to solve this long time, never ending problem, I will be imposing a 100% Tariff on any and all movies that are made outside of the United States,” Trump wrote.
