Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov recently engaged in discussions with Australia's Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister, Richard Marles, focusing on bolstering defense cooperation. Announcing the discussions on the social media platform X, Minister Umerov highlighted the key points of their conversation.

"We discussed cooperation in the defense industry, and the possibility of establishing joint ventures with the Australian defense industry. Despite the significant distance between our countries, Australian support remains unwavering. Together, we will drive the enemy out of Ukrainian land," Umerov stated.

In addition to discussing future cooperation, Umerov expressed gratitude for Australia's consistent support, specifically thanking the Australian government for a new $100 million military aid package.
