Ukrainian air defense neutralizes majority of Russian drones overnight.
In the early hours of March 27, 2024, Ukrainian air defense systems successfully intercepted and destroyed 10 out of 13 “Shahed” type drones launched by the Russian Federation.
Reported by the Ukrainian Air Force on Telegram, the assault was initiated from the Kursk region, with the drones targeting Kharkiv, Sumy, and Kyiv regions.
“To counter this aerial aggression, a coordinated effort involving anti-aircraft missile units, mobile fire groups, and electronic warfare assets of both the Air Force and Ukraine’s Defense Forces was deployed,” the Air Force statement detailed.
