In a powerful statement to the world, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov underscored the necessity of arming Ukraine to ensure global security and peace.
He emphasized the importance of dismantling the Russian regime, which he described as criminally terrorist.
In a Facebook post, Danilov was forthright in his message: “Only the systematic, consistent and methodical destruction of Putin's fascist formation is the best guarantee of security for Ukraine and the world, the absence of a missile threat to peaceful cities. Give Ukraine weapons and we will bury this piece..."
Danilov expressed a resolute determination to continue the fight against Russian aggression, despite the ongoing missile attacks in Ukrainian skies.
He vowed vengeance for the lives lost, including 513 children, fallen defenders, and every tortured Ukrainian soul, promising to retaliate a hundredfold.
The Secretary took the opportunity to thank those on the front lines: the defenders of the Ukrainian sky, rescuers, doctors, and energy workers, acknowledging their resilience against Russian terrorist attacks.
On the night of January 2, Russia escalated its offensive with a massive air strike using various weapons, including cruise missiles and Kinzhals. The Ukrainian air defense responded effectively. The strikes resulted in civilian casualties and infrastructure damage in Kyiv, with disruptions in electricity and water supply. In Kharkiv, a residential area was hit, leading to one fatality and over 40 injuries.
Danilov’s statement represents a stark reminder of the ongoing conflict's severity and the urgent need for international support. His appeal for weapons reflects a broader call for global solidarity against threats to peace and security.
