Ukrainian defense forces have destroyed a Russian Buk-M3 air defense system valued at up to $50 million.

On the night of October 21, Ukrainian forces struck and destroyed a high-value Russian Buk-M3 air defense system, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Buk-M3, a state-of-the-art anti-aircraft missile system, was positioned approximately 60 kilometers (37 miles) from the front lines when it was taken out by Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces in coordination with other defense units.
The Buk-M3 system is one of Russia’s most advanced air defense platforms, with a price tag ranging between $40 and $50 million, depending on its configuration.
This latest victory adds to a growing list of successes for the Ukrainian military.
