Ukrainian marines secure key positions on Dnipro River’s left bank in Kherson - Russian forces in disaray

In a significant strategic advancement, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have successfully established control over several bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson region.

This development was confirmed by the Marine Corps Command of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine through a social media announcement.

The Ukrainian Marines, exhibiting remarkable courage and professionalism, collaborated with other Defense Forces units to secure these critical positions.

This move is part of Ukraine’s broader strategy to repel the large-scale armed aggression by the Russian Federation.

Substantial losses for Russian forces

The offensive has resulted in substantial losses for the Russian forces. According to the latest reports, the Russian military has suffered the loss of 1,216 personnel, with an additional 2,217 wounded.

The material damages include 24 tanks, 89 artillery systems and mortars, 135 various vehicles, 48 units of armored combat vehicles, 9 MLRS (Multiple Launch Rocket Systems), 14 watercraft, 15 units of special equipment, 4 command posts, and 29 ammunition depots.

The Ukrainian Navy highlighted the significant role played by the combined electronic warfare unit of the Marine Corps, which successfully neutralized 135 FPV drones and 5 operational-tactical UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles).

This consolidation on the left bank is part of the ongoing Ukrainian military efforts in the region.

Analysts had previously reported the transfer of armored vehicles by the Ukrainian military to the left bank of the Kherson region on November 8. Further progress was noted on November 13, indicating a continued push by Ukrainian forces in this strategically vital area.

These developments signify a crucial phase in the ongoing conflict, showcasing the resilience and tactical acumen of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
