The delay in U.S. Congress's approval of aid for Ukraine has led to a severe ammunition shortage.

Trending Now

According to U.S. State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller, Ukraine is facing an "extremely serious" situation on the battlefield due to a dire shortage of ammunition.

The is news was reported by Radio Svoboda on Feb. 27.

This scarcity, caused by the U.S. Congress's hesitation to approve aid, significantly hampers Ukraine's Defense Forces' ability to counter Russian aggression effectively.

Miller noted that, despite the Ukrainian military's courageous efforts, they are compelled to ration their weaponry and ammunition due to the stalled support from the U.S.

While Ukrainian forces are expected to persist in their resistance and secure victories in the coming year, the lack of essential ammunition considerably challenges their mission.

In response to this pressing issue, President Joe Biden is actively advocating for aid to Ukraine and is calling on Congress to expedite the approval of the necessary funding to support Ukraine's defense efforts.
