What Putin's general stated on national TV could be a nightmare for Europe.

In a conversation with Rossiya 1, a state-run channel that consistently promotes war and disseminates Putin's propaganda to millions of TV viewers, a Russian general made a startling revelation.

According to Kyivpost.com, Colonel General Andrei Mordvichev stated that the invasion of Ukraine is merely an "intermediate stage."

An "intermediate stage" in a broader conflict across Europe.

The high-ranking officer also emphasized that the war in Ukraine has been ongoing for over 18 months, with no end in sight.

According to the general, Russia needs to have endurance: "When we talk about attacking Eastern Europe, it will naturally take more time!"

Eastern Europe Next?

Ukraine is just the starting point, he reiterated. As per the general's comments, Eastern European countries, including NATO members like Poland, Estonia, Lithuania, and Latvia, are next on the list.

The big question is whether this all is just saber-rattling and empty threats?

How privy could Mordvichev be to Putin's confidential plans?

One thing is clear: Colonel General is the third-highest rank in the Russian military.

In Ukraine, Mordvichev has been among the leading commanders since the invasion began in 2022. He is undoubtedly well-versed in the internal workings of the Russian army.
