Authorities in Ohio are investigating a reported overnight incident at the Cincinnati residence of U.S. Vice President JD Vance.
The case unfolded in the early hours of Sunday, drawing a visible police response around the property.
According to WCPO, officers were seen searching the surrounding area after damage was discovered, prompting questions about what led to the incident and who may be responsible.

Early morning response
Police were called to the vice president’s home shortly after midnight, following a report from the U.S. Secret Service.
A Cincinnati police dispatcher told FOX19 NOW that agents requested assistance at about 12.15am after spotting someone “running eastbound.”
According to the dispatcher, Secret Service personnel were at the scene earlier in the morning but had left by the time local officers began a wider search of the area.
Officers were observed using flashlights to examine broken glass near the house, as they worked to assess the situation.
Visible property damage
The property, which is owned by Vance and sits above the Ohio River, showed clear signs of damage by daylight, WCPO reported. Several windows appeared to be shattered, with large holes visible from outside.

Investigators have not said how the windows were broken or whether the incident was targeted.
