Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky has issued a stark appeal for increased international support to combat Russian aggression.

Highlighting the urgent need for modern air defense systems and decisive actions against Russian forces, Zelensky's call to action underscores the escalating conflict's global ramifications.

World Must Act Against Russian Aggression

Zelensky took to social media to share his views on the growing threat posed by Russia.

In a post on X, reported by Ukrinform, he warned of the dangers of allowing aggressive regimes to go unchecked.

"Aggressive regimes like Russia's are rapidly increasing their appetite for aggression. When they succeed in one part of the world, it creates problems in many other places; aggression spreads unless it is stopped," he wrote.

Call for Enhanced Air Defense Systems

Emphasizing the critical need for international aid, Zelensky outlined Ukraine's specific requirements.

"The world has the means to counter Russian terror, and we in Ukraine need this assistance. Timely and sufficient support from partners. Steady and unwavering support for our warriors. Additional modern air defense systems, particularly Patriots, and the ability to destroy Russian terrorists so that they cannot approach our borders," he stated.

Zelensky expressed gratitude to those who have stood by Ukraine.

"Thank you to everyone in the world who understands this and supports Ukraine," he added.

His message was accompanied by a video depicting the latest Russian strikes on Kharkiv, Donetsk, Kherson, and Vinnytsia regions, highlighting the ongoing devastation and urgency of the situation.

In a recent interview with The New York Times, Zelensky reiterated the importance of advanced military support.

He highlighted the significance of acquiring additional Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems and the United States' decision to provide F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine.

These measures, he argued, would be pivotal outcomes of the upcoming anniversary NATO Summit in Washington.
