Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that he is confident Ukraine will soon have fire control capabilities over the occupied Crimea.
He made this announcement during an online address at the second parliamentary summit of the international Crimea Platform, according to The Kyiv Independent.
He also mentioned that Russian air defense over the annexed peninsula has been continuously weakened.
Although Ukraine currently has no control over the airspace above Crimea, Zelensky believes it's only "a matter of time."
Confident allies
Ukraine's allies have also picked up on the degradation of the Black Sea Fleet.
British Armed Forces Minister James Heappey stated on October 3 that Ukraine's attacks on the Black Sea Fleet have led to a "functional defeat" of the Russian Navy in the Black Sea.
This victory is "just as important" as Ukraine's surprising counteroffensive in the Kharkiv region in the fall of 2022.
