Zelensky Secures Artillery Support from Balkans Countries

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced significant artillery support agreements with Western Balkan countries at the "Ukraine - Southeastern Europe" summit.

President Volodymyr Zelensky announced Ukraine has secured commitments to bolster its artillery capabilities following the "Ukraine - Southeastern Europe" summit.

Strengthened Defense and EU Integration

During a press conference with Albania's Prime Minister, Zelensky stated: "We have concrete agreements, in particular, regarding the strengthening of Ukraine and Ukrainian artillery."

Zelensky also voiced strong support for the Western Balkan countries' integration into the European Union, advocating for a united and robust democratic world.

"Every nation that aspires to be part of the European and Euro-Atlantic communities and shares the common values ​​of Europe and Euro-Atlantic deserves full integration," he remarked.

Historic Visit and Defense Collaboration

The Ukrainian President's visit to Albania marks a significant moment, with Zelensky participating in the summit alongside leaders from Albania, Serbia, North Macedonia, Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro.

He proposed a joint defense forum among the Western Balkan countries, aiming to deepen regional defense cooperation.

Further cementing bilateral relations, Zelensky met with Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, culminating in the signing of a friendship and cooperation agreement between Ukraine and Albania.

This visit follows Zelensky's trip to Saudi Arabia.
