For years, Prince Andrew’s ties to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell have haunted his reputation.
What started as friendships turned into public scandals. These relationships led to a highly criticized TV interview, lawsuits, and ultimately, his removal from royal duties.
Now, a new biography claims there’s even more to the story than the public has heard.
“Wasn’t Just a Close Friend”
The book, The Rise and Fall of the House of York by Andrew Lownie, claims that Prince Andrew had an on-and-off romantic relationship with Ghislaine Maxwell, writes Ziare.
According to the author, she wasn’t just a close friend. She also helped shape his image during a time when he felt lost.

In 2001, Andrew had just left the Royal Navy and was adjusting to civilian life. The book says Maxwell took charge of his social calendar, helped him pick his clothes, and reconnected him with wealthy, influential people.
The biography also says Maxwell introduced Andrew to Jeffrey Epstein. Through that connection, Andrew was brought into Epstein’s private social circle.
He allegedly took part in trips and parties that involved other high-profile names. The book claims Maxwell even helped arrange business deals for Andrew, including a tobacco venture in Malawi and a luxury car deal in Thailand.
One source said Andrew spent a lot of time in Thailand and enjoyed the luxury lifestyle.

Denies Everything
Andrew has always denied this. The case was settled out of court, and no guilt was admitted.
Maxwell is now serving a 20-year prison sentence. Epstein died in jail in 2019. The questions around their ties to powerful people haven’t gone away.
