However, he claimed that the altercation began when another tourist punched his friend, prompting him to retaliate by throwing the chair. He insisted that hitting the woman was unintentional.

Contradicting Harratt’s version, British holidaymaker Kyle Crawford reported that Harratt and his friends were harassing female tourists by splashing them and throwing rugby balls.
