Taking a gamble on an abandoned storage unit turned out to be a wise decision for a man named Kieran.

Known for his YouTube channel @rummagearound, Kieran usually buys items from thrift stores, flea markets, and online platforms like Facebook, eBay, Amazon, and Depop to resell them for a profit.

A risk worth taking

Kieran decided to venture into buying an abandoned storage unit for £465, approximately $600. After purchasing the unit, he began to sift through its contents to evaluate his investment.

Among the items he found were boxing gloves from Sugar Ray Leonard, which he knew would be valuable to a fan.

The storage unit was filled with a variety of items, including camp beds, camping gas, sleeping bags, tents, fishing gear, a washing machine, a coffee machine, and a lamp.

While some items, like a toothbrush, fireworks, and an almost empty bottle of Gucci perfume, were not sellable, Kieran also discovered 17 bags of clothes, 70 pairs of shoes, and a large box of jewelry.

The final tally

After spending over two hours going through the unit, Kieran estimated that he could sell the items for £2,510, roughly $3,300, yielding a profit of £2,045 or approximately $2,700.
