Rachel Scott was in line at a supermarket when she noticed the family ahead of her sorting their groceries in an unusual manner.
It didn't take long for her to realize that the family was separating the items based on what they needed and what they could afford to stay within their budget. The incident was reported by Opposing Views.
Rachel Scott took to Facebook to share her experience.
She felt a divine nudge to buy the groceries for the family. "I felt God say 'buy it.' Our family is well-off, and we have what we need and a little extra. I didn't know what it would cost, but I said 'Yes, God.' I told them to just put the items on the conveyor belt because God was paying for it today," she wrote on Facebook.
The mother in the family ahead was staring at Rachel Scott.
"I tried not to make a big deal out of it and just do it, but I saw one of the little girls wipe a tear from her eye, and it nearly broke me," she continued.
Rachel Scott had noticed the worry in the children's eyes as they waited.
"My kids were having a blast because they knew they were getting the things they needed and whatever candy they wanted. Those kids were looking anxious, not sure if they could get the things they wanted," she wrote.
The post quickly went viral on social media, being shared over 100,000 times.
