Several guests on the cruise ship Symphonies of the Seas have been secretly filmed.
A 34-year-old employee has now been arrested after a female guest discovered a hidden camera under the sink in her cabin.
This was reported by the American media outlet WPLG.
The employee is charged with spying on several female guests with a hidden camera and for producing and possessing child pornography.
Had Used the Bathroom Multiple Times
The female guest was on vacation with her two daughters when she noticed the hidden camera in the bathroom.
The small family had used the bathroom multiple times while the camera was recording.
Upon discovering the lens, she immediately reported it to the ship's security personnel. The woman and the security staff were standing outside her cabin when the 34-year-old man, who worked on the ship, suddenly appeared in the room.
He was immediately detained.
Royal Caribbean, the owner of the cruise ship, told WPLG that they have zero tolerance for 'this unacceptable behavior'.
"We immediately reported the incident and terminated the crew member. We will continue to fully cooperate with the authorities," a spokesperson for Royal Caribbean told the media.
