This diplomatic appeal aimed to ensure the safety of a senior delegation attending a regional economic forum. Reports indicate that the Ukrainian government agreed to pause potential operations in the area during the visit.
Protecting the Chinese delegation
Chinese officials sought security guarantees during the Eastern Economic Forum in Russia’s Far East. According to United24 Media, this diplomatic event spanned four days and featured various international participants. The delegation required safety assurances to proceed with their scheduled engagements.
Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang led the visiting delegation during the economic summit. As noted by United24 Media, he serves as the sixth-highest-ranking member of the Chinese Communist Party’s Politburo Standing Committee. His presence elevated the security requirements surrounding the regional event.
The Ukrainian government reportedly complied with the security request. According to United24 Media, sources confirmed that Kyiv agreed to refrain from striking the city. This temporary pause remained in effect while the foreign representatives stayed in the area.

Scrutinizing ongoing military support
This diplomatic request occurs alongside growing international scrutiny regarding foreign support for the Russian military. Journalists obtained internal shipping records detailing illicit material transfers. The supplier delivered 46 metric tons of carbon-fiber chemicals earlier this year.
The recipients of these materials are closely tied to the Russian state. According to United24 Media, the shipment went to a subsidiary of the state nuclear corporation Rosatom. The cargo was deliberately declared under a customs code typically used for nylon and polyester.
