Former Olympic swimmer and World Champion Jeanette Ottesen has recently opened up about the breakdown of her marriage to British former swimming colleague Marco Loughran. In a candid revelation on the Radio 4 podcast 'Skilsmissen',(The Divorce) Ottesen shared the painful details of discovering infidelity in her decade-long marriage.

The Danish swimming star, who has been a prominent figure in the sport, disclosed that the betrayal was more extensive than initially feared. Ottesen's suspicions were confirmed when Loughran admitted to having an affair during a critical conversation just weeks after the birth of their second child, Harley.

"I need to talk to you. I need to say this to you face to face," Loughran had told Ottesen, who then asked if he was seeing someone else, to which he unequivocally replied 'yes'.

Ottesen, known for her prowess in the pool, conducted her own investigation into the extent of her husband's infidelity.

She was shocked to discover that the betrayal involved not only one or two women but included friends, acquaintances, and many strangers over the last ten years.

"It's disgusting. The worst part is that he did it while I was pregnant, while we were getting married," Ottesen revealed.

"He has never been true to me. Never ever. From day one, he had me and others on the side," she added. Loughran, who has not publicly commented on the matter, confirmed these details to Ottesen.

Despite the heartbreak, Ottesen shared a positive turn in her personal life. Last summer, she announced that she has found love again with Christian Wahlgreen, who works in the finance sector.
