Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev issued a harsh Christmas Eve message to Europe, criticizing the continent's inflation rate and its support for Ukraine.

Medvedev, an ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin and former prime minister, highlighted Europe's struggles, particularly focusing on its pro-Ukrainian actions. He expressed his views in a post on a social media platform, formerly known as Twitter.

Medvedev pointed out the persistently high inflation and lack of economic growth in Europe, criticizing the boycott of Russian energy supplies and the presence of Ukrainians in European streets.

He questioned Europe's condition, asking, "What is wrong with you, are you totally sick?"

His message also targeted European politicians, whom he labeled as degenerate for their stance on the war between Ukraine and Russia.

Sanctions and Global Consequences

The message comes days after the European Union Council adopted the 12th sanctions package against Russia.

Medvedev's son, Ilya Medvedev, was among those sanctioned last week. Medvedev has previously spoken about the global consequences of sanctions against Russia, predicting the collapse of the idea of an American-centric world.
