A Frenchman in the city of Marseille must have felt incredibly lucky. A forgotten lottery ticket ended up granting him the largest jackpot in the history of the Bouches-du-Rhône region.

The man from Marseille, in his 40s, stumbled upon a filled-out lottery ticket in his car, which he had not yet cashed in. He discovered that the draw had not yet taken place, so he went down to the local dealer and redeemed his ticket.

That same evening, he curiously followed the lottery draw, and to his great surprise, he became a multimillionaire. The lottery ticket he had forgotten about had now earned him 11 million euros($11 Million).

This would not have been the case if he had discovered the ticket a few hours later or the following day.

According to the French media outlet Bhinfo, the winner of the 10 million euros has decided to sweeten his life, and he has already planned several trips to distant destinations, which he normally would not be able to afford.

Additionally, he has planned to invest in the real estate market, and likewise assist his loved ones.

In this case, one can certainly talk about a man who is lucky. He had filled out the ticket days before but forgot to cash it in, so it wasn't validated. Fortunately for him, he realized just in time to get it cashed in, and shortly after, he watched as the correct numbers were drawn.
