What is happening?

After the surprise attack on Iran carried out by the US over the weeekend, the World is still trying to get answers on a load of questions.
How much damage did the attack to? What will Iran’s responce be? That’s just two of them.
“Spectacular military succes”

During a press conference, Donald Trump called “Operation Midnight Hammer”, as the attack was called, a “spectacular military succes”.

Completely destroyed

Trump also claimed that the Iranian nuclear programme has now been completely destroyed.
Initial reports suggest that the three sites targeted sufferet signifcant damage, but the actual result of the attack will take time to verify.
So what now?

If Trump is in fact rigth in the Iranian nuclear programme being incapacitatet, the question is what follows.
As in how the Iranian regime will react – and how the Iranian public will react.
Trump calling for MIGA

In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote:
“It’s not politically correct to use the term ‘Regime Change’, but if the current Iranian Regimes is unable to MAKE IRAN GREAT AGAIN, why wouldn’t there be a Regime change? MIGA!”
Does he have a point?

The Iranian regime is under more pressure, than it has ever been since the Islamic Revolution of 1979.
The regimes military is cribbled, as is the economy, and they are lacking friends on the world stage.
It would indeed be a good time for an uprising, but …
Risk of opposite effect

Most of the Iranian population is against the regime and would love to see it tobbled.
But an attack on a country tend to have a unifying effect on the population.
Could increase anti-American sentiment

According to correspondents from various media, Iranians opposing the regime is actually now uniting with their political opponents, as they have gained a common enemy who has bombed their beloved country – the US.
Waiting for reaction

How the Iranian leadership will respond to the attack remains to be seen.
So far there have been only threats and condemnation, but no actual action.
