But that’s exactly what happened to former President Donald Trump as he was boarding Air Force One the other day.
The brief stumble on the stairs has now set social media ablaze with comments and memes — and the irony is hard to miss.

Trump was boarding the iconic presidential plane in Morristown, New Jersey, on Sunday when he briefly lost his footing on the stairs.
He quickly grabbed the railing, regained his balance without any issues, and continued his ascent to board the flight to Washington, D.C.
But the incident didn’t go unnoticed. Especially given Trump’s previous remarks.
During his election campaign, he has repeatedly questioned Joe Biden’s physical fitness, writing on his campaign site: “Joe Biden can’t even walk up the stairs to Air Force One.”
The Comment Comes Back to Haunt Him
That comment has now resurfaced, and it’s hard not to see the humor as the roles are suddenly reversed.
This isn’t the first time a U.S. president has had a moment of stairway trouble.
In 2023, Joe Biden was filmed in a similar situation, prompting mockery and skepticism, particularly from Trump supporters.
At the time, Trump said: “I hope he didn’t get hurt.”
Now, however, it’s Trump who’s taking the heat online.
