Different financial worlds
Meghan Markle is reportedly furious with Prince Harry over their current financial situation. According to a report by The Express on their Daily Expresso show, insiders claim the couple’s long-term future has become a major source of anxiety.
The details came to light during a recent broadcast with presenters JJ Anisiobi and Mark Dolan. Royal journalist Rob Shuter originally shared the claims on his Substack, noting that Meghan is deeply worried about money.
During the show, Anisiobi noted that Meghan has taken a firm stance. He claimed she told Harry, “You got to get your butt out there and bring in some more moola.”
Dwindling royal funds
The disagreement apparently stems from their very different backgrounds. Dolan explained that Harry has a unique mindset “because he’s an aristocrat who’s never had to worry about cash, never seen a bill in his life.”
Meanwhile, their expenses continue to mount. Their savings are shrinking, and the massive cash injections they once received from media deals are running dry.
Dolan summarised Meghan’s frustration with their disappearing revenue. He noted she is thinking, “We’ve got some savings. You’ve got your inheritance, which is dwindling. There’s the spare money, the Netflix cash, but it is disappearing and disappearing fast. And where is the cash flow? Nothing’s coming in.”
Unequal work loads
The couple also seems to clash over how to fix the problem. Sources claim that Meghan feels she is doing the heavy lifting to keep their business ventures alive.
According to Dolan, Shuter’s insiders claim that Meghan wants Harry to step up. He said, “Meghan’s had enough, that Harry’s got to pull his weight because she’s the one that’s busy on Instagram posting stuff about Archie and Lily and the As ever brand.”
While Meghan manages projects, Harry views his role differently. Shuter reported that the prince “thinks it’s enough to do the charity work, that he’s a philanthropist, that he’s a global citizen.”
Their California lifestyle is also incredibly expensive. Dolan revealed that their Montecito home has a massive mortgage, confirming it “wasn’t a cash purchase. There’s a big mortgage on it.”
