Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang announced at Computex that simple chatbots are dead, replaced by a new era of agentic artificial intelligence. These advanced systems will reason, plan, and execute physical tasks independently, forcing a complete redesign of modern hardware like self-driving cars and humanoid robots.

Talking to a computer used to feel like a very simple transaction. You ask a basic question. The machine instantly spits out a predictable response. Now, the next massive wave of technology is preparing to completely destroy that familiar dynamic.

Moving past basic chat

For the past few years, the tech world has obsessed over programs that generate simple text. People use these basic digital assistants to write daily emails. It is a neat trick. But that era of simple digital chat is officially coming to a rapid end.

The man running the world’s most valuable tech company says the industry is moving toward something vastly more capable. According to a report by Focus Taiwan, Nvidia chief executive officer Jensen Huang recently addressed international media in Taipei. He firmly declared that the simple chatbot is dead. Agentic artificial intelligence is rapidly taking over the global market.

These new systems do not just answer simple questions. They actively understand context, process complex problems, and independently use external tools to finish physical jobs.

Robots making decisions

Instead of waiting for human instructions, the new software acts as an independent worker. This changes everything. The massive upgrade will fundamentally rewrite the rules of how we build everyday hardware.

“Every edge device will become autonomous. Every edge device will have agentic systems,” Huang noted.

The Nvidia leader pointed straight to self-driving vehicles and humanoid robots as the prime examples of this shift. When an artificial brain can reason and make its own choices, the physical design of those machines must change entirely.

Future cars and factory robots will no longer rely solely on distant cloud servers. They will carry these powerful new brains directly on board. This setup allows the physical hardware to react instantly to the chaotic world around it.

A new physical reality

This major shift represents the literal birth of physical artificial intelligence. The advanced technology is finally leaving the flat computer screen and stepping forcefully into real life.

Global manufacturers must now rethink their entire approach to basic hardware design. Building a modern machine requires packing enough local computing power to properly support these independent digital minds.

The quiet days of simple digital tools are over. We are entering a chaotic new age. Very soon, the mechanical devices living in our homes and driving on our streets will think entirely for themselves.
