White House video backfires as critics revive humiliating Trump allegation.
Donald Trump’s latest campaign appearance has attracted attention for reasons that had little to do with the candidate he travelled to New York to support.
Footage shared by White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt following Friday’s event quickly circulated across social media, where users began scrutinising the president’s appearance as he walked near the stage.
Several accounts claimed the shape of Trump’s trousers appeared unusual and revived a long-running, unverified allegation that the president wears an adult diaper. Nothing in the footage establishes that claim as fact.
Leavitt’s footage draws attention
Trump attended the event in Garden City, New York, to support Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman, who is challenging Democratic Governor Kathy Hochul.
Leavitt recorded Trump moving on and off the stage and interacting with supporters. Social media users subsequently focused on the fit of his trousers, with some describing his appearance as unusually boxy.
Journalist Aaron Rupar was among those questioning the footage.
“Seriously, what is going on with Trump’s rear end here? It looks like he has some sort of contraption back there,” Rupar wrote on X.
Other users responded with considerably more mocking interpretations, while some criticised the discussion itself and questioned why so much attention was being paid to Trump’s body.
One critic wrote: “Trump is NOT looking good. wtf is that? Low-energy humpback, not even looking up. You are in no state to be starting wars around the globe, Mr. President.”

Old allegation resurfaces
Online speculation about Trump wearing adult diapers predates Friday’s appearance and has circulated periodically for years.
Former Celebrity Apprentice staff member Noel Casler has previously claimed that Trump has relied on diapers since the 1990s because of problems with bowel control.
Casler’s assertions remain unverified, and the material provided contains no medical documentation or other independent evidence establishing that Trump wears an adult diaper.
Friday’s footage therefore offers no confirmation of the allegation. Rather, Leavitt’s post has provided fresh material for social media users who were already familiar with the longstanding claim.
Trump’s trip was intended to boost Blakeman’s campaign against Hochul, but much of the online reaction highlighted in the source instead concentrated on the president himself.
Some users pushed back against the speculation and described the fixation on Trump’s backside as inappropriate.
