The update highlights the continuing toll of the full-scale invasion on Moscow’s armed forces. These newly published figures reflect intense combat operations across multiple frontlines.
Tracking Russian personnel losses
Russia lost an estimated 1,540 troops over the past 24 hours. According to United24 Media, the General Staff reported these updated figures on September 7. These daily casualties represent a continuation of high attrition rates for the invading forces.
The cumulative human cost of the conflict continues to climb for the Russian military. As reported by United24 Media, total personnel losses since February 2022 have reached approximately 1,497,980. This staggering figure underscores the scale of the ongoing war effort.
Domestic issues regarding military service are reportedly surfacing alongside these battlefield losses. According to United24 Media, reports emerged that conscripts face barriers when attempting to leave the country. Some individuals only discovered these exit bans at border control checkpoints.
Counting destroyed military equipment

Unmanned systems constitute a significant portion of the newly recorded equipment losses. According to United24 Media, the General Staff reported the destruction of nine unmanned ground systems. Forces also recorded the loss of 1,473 operational-tactical drones during the 24-hour period.
