Dolly Parton entrusted her nephew with a special task shortly before her death, but now the situation has taken a dramatic turn with serious accusations against him.
Unmistakably, Dolly Parton placed significant trust in her nephew, Bryan Seaver, shortly before her passing.
He was entrusted with a truly unique role concerning the 80-year-old country legend’s farewell.
Now, just a few weeks later, circumstances have drastically changed.
It was Bryan Seaver whom Dolly Parton had designated to announce the news of her death at the end of August.
Since then, the nephew has become the focal point of a sensational dispute, with Parton’s long-time manager, Danny Nozell, leveling a series of serious accusations against him.
According to reports from People and Variety, the manager has requested a restraining order against Seaver, who until recently served as Dolly Parton’s head of security.
Seaver has therefore been dismissed from his position.
Accused of Intimidation
Court documents indicate that the nephew allegedly began what is described as a campaign of threats and intimidation in the weeks leading up to Dolly Parton’s death.
This reportedly occurred after he became aware that the country star’s death might be imminent.
Among other claims, the documents allege that Seaver referenced his past as a military contractor, his access to weapons, and his ability to commit violence in connection with demands for financial compensation from Parton’s estate.
He is also said to have mentioned “long-term revenge.”
According to Variety, Seaver is also accused of threatening to harm Dolly Parton’s business interests, including Dollywood, if he did not receive the payment he believed he was owed.
Denies All Claims
Bryan Seaver has not commented on the accusations to People or Variety, but in a written statement to TMZ, he denies the allegations.
According to the nephew, private messages have been taken out of context to appear as threats.
He explains, among other things, that several of the messages were formulated during an emotional period when he and the manager were grieving Dolly Parton’s death.
The case has already led to legal consequences.
On September 22, Dolly Parton’s estate was granted a temporary restraining order against Bryan Seaver.
