Trump explodes at heckler with bizarre claim: “They voted for me”

He cannot stand criticism

Campaign trails across America always get loud and messy right before voters head to the polls.

Politicians expect cheers and applause when they step up to the microphone in friendly territory.

This week, however, uninvited voices in the crowd keep hijacking the spotlight.

Chaos in the crowd

During a Wednesday night rally in Kalispell, Montana, President Donald Trump lost his temper after a protester interrupted his speech for the third time this week.

According to Irish Star, security guards quickly led a person out of the arena as the crowd booed. “That’s not nice, that’s not nice!” Trump shouted from the stage. “Who is that guy? Who is that?”

Without offering proof, the president insisted that his critics are getting $1,000 checks to disrupt his midterm campaign stops. “You know they are, they’re paid agitators,” the president claimed, as reported by Irish Star. “They get paid by the radical left. They get paid.”

He then mocked the protester’s home life. “Then, they go home, and their mom slaps the h–l out of them, because they voted for me,” Trump added, according to the outlet.

A rough week on tour

The Montana outburst followed two similar clashes in Alaska and Ohio earlier in the week. In Wasilla, Alaska, Irish Star noted that guards removed a man who yelled at the president, prompting Trump to call him a “spoiled child” whose parents voted Republican.

Days earlier in Ohio, things turned violent when a man shoved, punched, and pulled the hair of a female protester wearing a “Release the Epstein files” shirt. Trump called her a “paid protester” funded by “the lefties in order to destroy our country.

They’re scum,” Irish Star reported, while NBC News noted that Youngstown Mayor Derrick McDowell condemned the attack.

High stakes in Montana

Trump traveled to Montana to campaign for Republican candidate Aaron Flint, an Army veteran and former aide to retiring Rep. Ryan Zinke. According to Irish Star, Flint is running against Democrat Sam Forstag, a labor union leader and specialized wildfire parachutist known as a smokejumper.

Republicans face tough numbers ahead of the November midterms.

USA Today polling shows Montana voters split evenly at 46% approval and 46% disapproval for Trump, while national polls from Cygnal and Economist/YouGov put Democrats ahead by 9 and 11 percentage points.
