Popular Canadian singer Bryan Adams has dedicated a new track to Donald Trump — but not in a good way.

Canadian singer Bryan Adams has launched a blistering musical diss against Donald Trump in a brand-new track, according to HuffPost.

The rockstar did not mince words in his new song.

The singer, best known for his smash hit “Summer of ’69,” went after Trump when the former president issued an executive order demanding that Lake Ontario be renamed “Lake America.”

‘Dog and pony show’

The track, titled “Lake Ontario,” appears on his upcoming album “How’s It Goin’.” Trump is not mentioned by name in the song.

Even so, the target is obvious as Adams leans on Indigenous history to reject Trump’s political decree: “The ‘Lake of Shining Waters’ is what the Iroquois called her / It’s a First Nations name, not an executive order.”

Adams also calls out Trump’s decision to go to war with Iran. He sings: “But things weren’t going his way in Iran / So like a baby tossing the toys from the pram / He may have thought it best to throw a low blow / And create a real dog and pony show.”

‘The Epstein files were getting traction’

Beyond military tensions, the track zeroes in on another explosive headline that refuses to fade away.

Adams highlights the lingering public attention surrounding the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, singing: “But it feels like another distraction / While the Epstein files were getting traction / One day they’ll come out and we’ll say, ‘There you go’ / And then we’ll all dive into Lake Ontario.”

In a statement published on his website, Adams described the release as “a wry retort to those who seek to rename it.” He also offered a philosophical message: “Empires and regimes, dictators and kings, they all come and go. Lake Ontario is forever. This is a song for all the sane people on both shores who know that the current madness will pass, and that Lake Ontario will always be Lake Ontario.”

This is not the first time Bryan Adams has gone after Trump. Back in July, the singer dropped the protest song “51st State” after Trump publicly floated ideas about absorbing Canada into the United States.
