Tragedy has struck in southwestern China as 4 tourist boats have capsized due to strong winds, BBC reports.

At least 10 dead

The sudden strong winds caused the boats to capsize sundy on a river in Qianxi city Southwestern China. According to state media, 84 people fell in the water, and at least 10 er confirmed dead. Another 70 have been hospitalized.

Jinping orders “all-out effort”

Chinese President, Xi Jinping, has ordered an “all-out effort” in the search and rescue operation. He has also stressed the importance of safety measures being strengthened, especially since a similiar incident occured just 2 months ago

11 killed in other accident

Two months ago, in the Hunan Province of China, 11 lives were lost when a passenger boat and an industrial vessel collided.

1 killed in helicopter crash

Another accident happened during this weekend, as a sightseeing helicopter crashed in the City of Suzhou. One person was killed, 4 injured.
