More than 2 million Ninja Foodi pressure cookers have been recalled across the U.S. and Canada after at least 106 burn injuries were reported, including over 50 cases involving second- or third-degree burns, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

The recall affects all 6.5-quart Ninja Foodi OP300 Series Multi-Function Pressure Cookers, which were sold between January 2019 and March 2025 through major retailers including Amazon, Walmart, Costco, Sam’s Club, and Target, as well as through select outlets in Canada.

The affected models include OP300, OP301, OP301A, OP302, OP302BRN, OP302HCN, OP302HAQ, OP302HW, OP302HB, OP305, OP305CO, and OP350CO.

The issue stems from a defective lid that may open while the appliance is in use, causing hot contents to escape and potentially burn users.

The manufacturer, SharkNinja Operating LLC, has received over 100 injury reports linked to this flaw, and 26 lawsuits have been filed as of this announcement.

What to Do If You Own One

Consumers in possession of the recalled units are advised to immediately stop using the pressure cooking function and discard the pressure cooker lid.

The device can still be used safely for other functions, such as air frying.

To receive a free replacement lid, consumers must complete an online claim form and submit a photo of the appliance’s rear panel.

Replacements will be shipped directly, with no need to return the product to the retailer.
