US President Donald Trump has warned that the United States could become involved in the conflict between Israel and Iran.

He said that if Iran attacks the US in any way, the full strength of the American military would respond, The Times reported.

“We May Get Involved”

Writing on his Truth Social platform, Trump stated:

“If we are attacked in any way shape or form by Iran, the full force and power of the U.S. Armed Forces will be unleashed upon you at levels never seen before.”

Later, Trump added, “We are not involved in this. We may be involved.”

Nuclear Talks Still Possible

Despite the rising tensions, Trump suggested that talks over Iran’s nuclear program may still be ongoing.

Negotiations were paused when Israel launched its attacks on Friday.

At the same time, the Times of Israel reported that the US Air Force is carrying out a large deployment of aerial refueling tankers across the Atlantic Ocean.

Dozens of KC-135 and KC-46 tankers have been moving east from US bases. These aircraft are essential for refueling planes that may participate in long-range missions, such as Israeli strikes on Iran.

Ongoing Strikes Between Israel and Iran

Israel has continued its attacks on Iran, striking deeper into the country. Targets included Mashhad’s airport in northeastern Iran, fuel depots, the Defense Ministry, and the police headquarters in Tehran.

On Sunday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that Israeli forces had killed Brigadier General Mohammad Kazemi, head of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) military intelligence, and his deputy Hassan Mohaqiq.

The Israeli military also reported strikes on Revolutionary Guard command centers in Tehran on Monday.

Iranian Rockets Hit Israeli Cities

Iranian rockets managed to penetrate Israel’s Iron Dome defense system Sunday night. Damage was reported in Tel Aviv and Haifa, with multiple casualties reported by Israeli media.

Israeli officials have offered different views on the operation’s goals.

Netanyahu told Fox News that regime change in Iran “could be an outcome,” saying the regime is “very weak.”

But Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar said regime change is not the goal.

Trump also said he still sees a chance for mediation.

He revealed that Russian President Vladimir Putin, who has ties with both Israel and Iran, offered to help mediate.

“He’s ready,” Trump told ABC. “He called me about it. We had a long conversation about it. We talked about it more than his situation. I think it’s something that will be resolved.”
