The strike reportedly occurred in central Tehran and was based on what the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) called “precise intelligence” on X.com
Shadmani had been installed just four days earlier following the assassination of his predecessor, General Alam Ali Rashid, during the first wave of Israeli airstrikes on Friday.

Shadmani was described as Iran’s top military officer and one of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s closest advisors.
His rapid elimination, following so closely on the heels of Rashid’s, suggests a deliberate Israeli effort to destabilize Iran’s chain of command during wartime, as reported by Digi24.
The IDF has not disclosed further details about the operation, but the speed and precision of the strike highlight Israel’s growing intelligence capabilities within Iran’s borders.
