Authorities downplay violence as parents demand justice

Panic and violence reported at Russian school

Parents in Belgorod Oblast, Russia, are demanding answers after what was meant to be a first aid class at the Formula Sukcesu school reportedly turned into a traumatic experience for students.

According to WP Wiadomości, soldiers conducting the lesson allegedly subjected ninth-grade children to disturbing demonstrations involving choking, restraint, and violent role-playing — sparking fear and outrage.

“Their limbs turned blue”

One mother told WP Wiadomości that soldiers ordered children to tightly wrap tourniquets around their arms, even forcing them to grip the ends between their teeth.

The pressure reportedly caused “their limbs to turn blue.”

Parents said the soldiers shouted “You are 200!” — Russian military slang for deceased soldiers — while showing students photos of corpses with amputated limbs, gouged eyes, and blood-soaked injuries.

As reported by WP Wiadomości, one boy was forced to wear a bulletproof vest, thrown to the ground, and kicked by both classmates and instructors as others were ordered to join in.

Chaos in the auditorium

The same report states that students were banned from filming, calling parents, or leaving the room. According to witnesses quoted by WP Wiadomości, many teens fainted or suffered panic attacks and hysteria.

“The children are 15 years old, and they’re being shown corpses,” one mother said. “Who will provide psychological support to the children who were abused today?”

Video shows child being hit

A video published by the Russian outlet Popiół and cited by WP Wiadomości shows a uniformed instructor striking a student repeatedly while the child wore body armor and a helmet.

The instructor claimed he was demonstrating the “level of protection” and encouraged classmates to strike the equipment as well. When asked if it hurt, the student reportedly replied, “a lot.”

“Children were unconscious — and they filmed it”

Parents also told WP Wiadomości that soldiers pressed students’ carotid arteries until they lost consciousness, then dragged them out of the room and placed them on the floor.

“Boys and girls were fainting and turning pale,” one mother said. “At the same time, this unknown group of people was recording videos! Where are they sending those recordings?”

Authorities admit fault — but play it down

Belgorod district official Tatyana Kruglakova confirmed to WP Wiadomości that the beaten student “is fine and the classes did not cause him any harm.”

She said disciplinary measures were taken against the school principal and staff responsible.

While insisting there was “no bad intent,” Kruglakova admitted that “untrained instructors cannot be allowed to participate in classes with children.”

Parents demand full investigation

Parents are calling for psychological evaluations of the military officers involved and stricter oversight of such training programs.

According to WP Wiadomości, similar sessions have already been conducted in other schools across the region, including Razumenski and Nikolsky. Many families are asking how this level of violence could happen inside a school — and who allowed it.
