Warning issued

Houthi leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi said the Yemeni group could join the war on Iran’s side.

“All options at the military level are possible,” he said, according to 02.pl, citing Yemeni media.

He added: “We reaffirm our support for Iran, Lebanon, Palestine, and the holy sites, as well as our military readiness as events unfold.”

The comments suggest the group is closely monitoring developments and could act if the conflict expands.

Rising tensions

Al-Houthi accused opposing forces of driving escalation in the region.

“All military options are possible. Escalation and expansion of aggression is the enemy’s path in their actions in the region, and this is precisely what we are observing as we monitor events and track the enemy’s actions,” he said.

He also described Iran as “a model of resistance to enemies,” highlighting ideological alignment between the groups.

So far, the Houthis have not directly entered the conflict.

Conflict spreads

The war began on February 28 with U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran, which reportedly killed senior leadership figures.

Countries including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates have activated air defenses amid continued threats.

Qatar has condemned attacks on its gas infrastructure, warning of further escalation.

Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani said: “such hostile acts, their continuation and the expansion of the war will only lead to greater escalation in the region.”
