Dodge and Jeep are finally joining the fast lane of EV charging. Starting 2026, their electric models will plug into Tesla’s vast Supercharger.

Drivers of Dodge and Jeep battery models will soon pull into the same high-speed charging lanes long dominated by Tesla owners.

Stellantis, the brands’ parent company, confirmed that full access to Tesla’s Supercharger network will begin in early 2026 across North America, with Japan and South Korea following a year later.

Charging expansion

The company framed the move as part of a broader strategy to give buyers more flexibility.

In a statement, by Stellantis‘ executives said the cooperation “underscores Stellantis’ strategy to offer freedom of choice by supporting vehicles that fulfill customer requirements and meet consumer demand,” adding that wider charging access offers “more choice, more coverage and more control over how, where and when they power their BEVs.”

Stellantis had already joined the wave of automakers pledging support for the Tesla-developed North American Charging Standard (NACS) in 2024. Although the transition was initially expected to begin in 2025, the shift is running slightly behind schedule.

Once in place, the move will open the door to more than 20,000 Tesla Supercharger stalls across North America for owners of the company’s EVs.

First models up

According to Stellantis, the rollout will begin with the Jeep Wagoneer S and Dodge Charger Daytona EV, then expand to the 2026 Jeep Recon and “other future products to be announced.”

The company has lagged behind rivals in electrification and has recently used loosened U.S. emissions and tax-credit rules to lean back toward gasoline models. Even so, hybrid and battery projects continue, though early Stellantis EVs have drawn mixed reactions from reviewers and buyers.

Industry shift

In recent years, Tesla’s slimmer plug and fast-charging network have driven most major automakers in the U.S. toward NACS integration. Toyota, General Motors, Hyundai, Kia, Lucid and Rivian are among those already shipping models equipped with the standard or supplying adapters as a bridge. Reported by InsideEV.

Stellantis has not detailed how it will phase in the technology, but based on industry practice, early adopters are expected to use NACS adapters before vehicles transition to native Tesla connectors in future model years.
